Attending to both the social and spiritual needs of our community is an essential part of our ministry at Church of the Wayfarer. It’s our privilege to help organize, support and fund many worthwhile programs throughout the Monterey Peninsula. Below are just a few.

Is an organization that provides housing and resources for people experiencing homeless and for victims of domestic violence through programs of outreach, emergency shelter, and transitional housing.

Rise Against Hunger

Join Volunteers from the community to help package 10,000 meals at Church of the Wayfarer. It’s a great way to kick off the season of giving by donating time and money to help in the fight against hunger worldwide. And you’re guaranteed to have a good time!

Rise Against Hunger, formerly Stop Hunger Now, is an international hunger relief non-profit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food and other life-changing aid to people in developing nations. Founded in 1998, Rise Against Hunger mobilizes more than 350,000 volunteers each year to package meals for people in need around the globe. Since 2005, Rise Against Hunger has distributed more than 315,000,000 meals to recipients in 74 countries with a mission to end hunger in our lifetime.

Food Bank of Monterey County

Through a variety of programs, the Food Bank of Monterey County provides
fresh, high-quality food to 8,500 households each month. Church of the Wayfarer
has several fund-raising events throughout the year to support the Food Bank.
